Présentation

Depression is the most common psychiatric illness. Chronic pain is a determining factor in the development of this pathology with a comorbidity of chronic pain and depression that reaches 50%.

In the laboratory, we have developed and characterized a mouse model associated with the development of an anxiety-depressive state.

In this project, we study in mice the alterations of the activity of VTA dopaminergic neurons and the regulation of these neurons by the tVTA and the lateral habenula in the context of pain and depression comorbidity.
