neuropathic pain, which is pain resulting from a lesion or pathology of the somatosensory system.<\/p><p>The main aim of our project is to extend our knowledge of the mechanisms by which antidepressants can act on neuropathic pain, in order to improve these treatments.<\/p><p>Our work focuses on the peripheral <em>(nerves and dorsal root ganglia)<\/em>, spinal<em> (spinal cord)<\/em> and supraspinal <em>(brain)<\/em> mechanisms of these treatments, taking into account the anti-neuroinflammatory effects of antidepressants, as well as the sensory and emotional components of
