So many economic and societal issues that make research in neuroscience a priority, because it is illusory to want to treat neurological pathologies without a fundamental knowledge of the brain.<\/p>

Neuroscience research is unique in that it requires multiple levels of analysis. From cell biology to physiological and behavioral studies, from animal to human, the relevance of the Institute of Cellular and Integrative Neuroscience (INCI) is to have been able to gather teams whose themes and methods of investigation represent a vertical approach to neuroscience.<\/p>

The INCI focuses on major themes related to the skills, know-how and international notoriety of its researchers: communication in the nervous system, biological rhythms, and pain. Rhythms and pain are two integrated physiological functions that rely on a complex cellular circuitry that characterizes the nervous system: neurotransmission, gliotransmission, neural networks and glial cells are all research axes decrypted from behavioral to molecular levels by the INCI teams.<\/p>

As a CNRS unit in partnership with the University of Strasbourg, the INCI is also a place for training by welcoming and supervising PhD students and students, and by its involvement in the neuroscience pathways of the Master’s degree in Health and Life.<\/p>

Institute of fundamental neuroscience in the Greater East region and member of the Neurop\u00f4le<\/a><\/em> cluster of neurosciences in Strasbourg, the INCI is located in the geographical heart of a melting pot of high-level laboratories, grouped to form the tri-national network Neurex<\/a><\/em>. An ideal situation to promote and structure, in a European context, exchanges, collaborations and training in neuroscience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
